What do you do when you have a 92-year old business that is “too good to give up and not good enough to keep?”


After having tried to sell the business and after tens of thousands of dollars wasted to no avail, we called several names on the list until we came to Mike Lee at QBI in Washington State. Perhaps it was an assurance in his voice that was not there in many other conversations during the screening process. If we did not call him, he initiated a call to us. We felt an immediate trust in his conversations that made us feel a trust in his professionalism and his business acumen.

Mike Lee came to Beaumont, Texas, as a stranger in January 2013 and left in April as a friend of the family, admired by all of our employees, our advertising agencies, and all of the Night families.

He arrived and set up the store in a true manner for a store closing. He handled all the schedules of advertising and kept us informed of future costs. Our sales staff was trained in the most effective ways to handle the crowds of customers expected. He did not interfere with the management of our business, but kept an eye on better methods to conduct the sales, and tracked how the sale was progressing.
